Windsor police have arrested three suspects and are seeking two others in connection with a violent home invasion on the city’s east side in January.

Shortly after 11 p.m. on Jan. 13, five suspects forced their way into a home in the 2500 block of Luxury Avenue, where police said they assaulted, bound, and threatened an 87-year-old man and a 75-year-old woman.

Money, jewelry and a sports utility vehicle were stolen, according to police. The vehicle was later recovered in the nearby area of Firgrove Drive and Monticello Street.

The two individuals who were assaulted sustained what police called “non-life-threatening” physical injuries.

On April 29, shortly before 10 a.m., officers located and arrested a 42-year-old woman in the 2200 block of Highland Avenue. She is facing two counts of robbery with violence. She was the second suspect charged in relation to the incident.

A 27-year-old man turned himself in to police on Thursday.

On Feb. 14, police arrested and charged a 25-year-old woman with a total of nine offences — including break and enter and commit robbery, robbery with an offensive weapon, robbery, assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, assault, forcible confinement, uttering death threats and theft of a motor vehicle.

Investigators have identified two additional suspects and this week issued arrest warrants for two other suspects, ages 19 and 17.
