Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaaj was released in theatres on January 12, 2025 Directed by Bobby, the Telugu action film also stars Urvashi Rautela. For quite some time, the movie has been grabbing headlines for some controversies. After the song received a flak, something disturbing has happened in Tirupati. A group of Balakrishna’s fans have sacrificed for the actor’s movie. FIR against Nandamuri Balakrishna’s fans

As per the reports, some Nandamuri Balakrishna fans have beheaded a got in Trirupati outside Pratap theatres in Tata Nagar. The incident has left the netizens disturbed. PETA India has called out for strict action against these people and an FIR is filed as well. In a disturbing video, it was seen that these fans smeared the Daaku Maharaaj poster with blood. As reported by News18, an FIR is filed against five identified persons under sections 325 and 270, read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, sections 4 and 5 [read with 6 & 8 of the Andhra Pradesh Animals and Birds Sacrifices (Prohibition) Act, 1950], and also sections 3, 11 (1) (a) and 11 (1) (l) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960. In a statement, PETA slammed this act and said, “Killing an animal and smearing their blood on a poster doesn’t make you a super fan—it makes you a villain and a criminal. Further, Saloni Sakaria, PETA’s Response Coordinator, added, “PETA India commends Tirupati police, especially the Superintendent of Police, Sri L. Subbarayudu, IPS, for swiftly registering an FIR and sending the message that cruelty to animals will not be tolerated.” So far, Daaku Maharaaj Nandamuri Balakrishna has not shared any reaction to this incident.
